LOLZ: Twitter Is Asking What ‘If Bond Movies Were Australian’ With Glorious Results

This morning we learnt the sad news that Sir Roger Moore had died, at age 89 after a short battle with cancer. As tributes flood in for the much-loved actor, and the ultimate James Bond, Australians on Twitter have taken an unexpected approach to saluting his legacy.

Jumping on the bandwagon, Twitter users are re-imagining Ian Fleming’s famous films, as if they were Aussie. Get ready for some incoming true blue ‘straya-isms.

The hashtag seemed to be kicked off by the ABC’s Hobart team, asking what would happen #IfBondMoviesWereAustralian in honour of Moore.

The hashtag has since trended in Australia, with locals getting their pun on, in the name of Moore’s breakout role. From ‘The Spy Who Rooted Me’ to ‘The Man With The Golden Gaytime’ – there have been some bloody rippers.
