A ‘Riverdale’ Spin-Off Is Coming & It Sounds Like ‘Gossip Girl’
If you’ve recently gone off Riverdale because, well, that show has gone absolutely bonkers, then we have good news for you. A Riverdale spin-off has gotten the green light and it sounds just like Gossip Girl. Yes please!
The series is based on another Archie Comics narrative, similiar to The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina which made its debut last year.
Riverdale’s creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed that another story from AC is in development based on popular character Katy Keene.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will center on Keene and her three friends, as the 20-somethings chase their dreams in New York City. Each character pursues different career aspirations in modelling, music, fashion and musical theatre.
Tbh this sounds a lot like Gossip Girl with a generous splash of The Bold Type, so therefore I am 100 percent keen. Another interesting feature of the show is that it will include musical episodes, similiar to series Smash.
So far no cast members have been confirmed and there is no official premiere date but fingers crossed it’ll debut some time this year.
