We’re in a glass case of emotion.

While weeks back we heard the wonderful news that Melbourne was getting its own Ron Burgundy themed pop-up bar, it appears the excitement was short-lived.

Cut to Anchorman’s production company Paramount Pictures shutting down the whole concept. Turns out claiming the bar as Ron-themed is kind of a pretty big deal. There is a hefty price to pay for the rights to use actual Anchorman branding.

NOOOOOO!!

Luckily the pop-up will still be taking place but instead under the name ‘Operation Shutdown’. Predictably the Anchorman related references won’t be too overt for legal reasons.

Hopefully they still have a killer scotch menu.

Deets are as follows:

Operation Shutdown Pop Up Bar
Pocelain Tea Parlour, 149 Elgin Street, Carlton
Thursday 13th October to Saturday 15th October, Thursday 20th October to Saturday 22nd October
6pm-late
