CONFIRMED: Gogglebox’s Angie Kent Is Australia’s New ‘Bachelorette’
UPDATE: I’m a Celeb and Gogglebox star Angie Kent is going to be the 2019 Bachelorette.
Oh happy day. Network 10 have now confirmed that Angie is Australia’s Bachelorette, posting the exciting first promo shot for her season.
Angie said regarding her new gig:
“I’ve always been the girl who loves to make everyone laugh, but now I reckon it’s time to have someone to laugh with me, rather than at me,” she said.
“I’m at a place now where I have loads of self-love, but I’m also open to all of life’s amazing possibilities. So, if 20 or so fellas want to join me, have a laugh and potentially be my perfect partner in life and love – I say – let’s give it a red hot go!”
Earlier today Who Magazine reported that the hilarious TV star has already agreed to the role, reporting: “It’s a secret that TV bosses have been desperate to hide, but WHO can reveal that Gogglebox and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Outta graduate Angie is looking for love on the 2019 season of the hit reality TV dating show.”
The tabloid mag is reporting that Angie is set to start filming in the coming weeks with Warner Bros. issuing a casting call for potential suitors two weeks ago.
This casting is a dream come true. Angie is hilarious and would be perfect for following in the footsteps of Sophie Monk, who created television magic in 2017.
