Ryan Reynolds Pulls A ‘Deadpool’ – Donates $5K To Theatre Fined For Serving Booze During Screening
Wade Wilson has had the last laugh, after Ryan Reynolds donated five thousand dollars to a film theater in Utah, after they were fined for serving beer during a Deadpool screening.
In a rally of support for the Brewvies Cinema Pub, Reynolds offered to donate the money towards the hefty fine for serving beer during the film- with no liquor license to do so.
While it’s legal to serve alcoholic beverages during movie screenings in Utah, a stipulation in the law states that they cannot be served when there is full nudity or sexual acts shown on screen. So with Deadpool earning its R rating through multiple sex scenes, the film showing would have to be a dry affair.
Thank god, they've found a way to legislate fun. https://t.co/vUSptxaHb9

In response, Reynolds donated money to a crowdfunding campaign by the theatre to counteract any incoming fines. This isn’t the first time that Brewvies has faced charges during a screening, the theatre has also faced a fine for unlawfully screening The Hangover Part III.
Those law-breaking, film-screening renegades. We salute you.
