VERRRY NICE: Sacha Baron Cohen Will Pay The Fines For The Dudes Caught Wearing Mankinis In Kazakhstan
Professional lolster Sacha Baron Cohen has offered to pay the fines for six Czech larrikins who thought it’d be funny AF to dress up as Borat, wearing his infamous fluoro green ‘mankini’ in Kazakhstan’s capital of Astana.
The guys were reportedly detained by authorities for dressing up as the Borat character in mankinis and black wigs. BBC is reporting that local police fined them $68 dollars each for committing crimes of minor hooliganism.
After the news made waves, Cohen posted to his Facebook page offering to reimburse the fellas for wearing his trademark mankini. Verrrry nice!
In a Facebook post from Tuesday, Baron Cohen wrote:
“To my Czech mates who were arrested. Send me your details and proof that it was you, and I’ll pay your fine.”
What a gent! The people of Twitter are celebrating the Borat star’s charitable gesture.
