In an “announcement to die for,” Fox’s Scream Queens has confirmed 52-year-old actor John Stamos will play the show’s new “secretive” but “brilliant” head surgeon.

You might recognise Stamos from the television sitcom Full House, the sitcom’s sequel  Fuller House was released earlier this year.

Stamos who has previously worked with Ryan Murphy on Glee and The New Normal will portray Dr. Brock Holt in the second season of Fox’s horror-comedy Scream Queens as a series regular.

Scream Queen’s second season will move away from season one’s vibrant college campus and into a hospital.

According to Fox, the change of scenery will introduce a “terrifyingly funny mystery,” and the hospital will be home to “bizarre” and “fascinating” medical cases.

Scream Queens will be returning to Fox on September 20th and will likely return to Australian television not long after.
