FAKE NEWS: Sean Spicer Just Crashed The Emmy’s In Epic Fashion
Stephen Colbert’s opening monologue at the 69th Emmy award ceremony was just upstaged by some spicy fake news.
Addressing the crowd, Colbert wondered how they’d be able estimate how many people were tuning into this year’s show.
To the surprise of the A-lister’s in attendance, Sean Spicer wheeled out behind an official looking Emmy’s lectern to answer his questions.
The reactions from the audience were hilarious.
Melissa McCarthy, who has become known for her hilarious Spicer piss-takes was left looking a little red in the face.
On cue, Sean Spicer passionately fired off:
“This will be the largest audience to witness an Emmy’s. Period. Both in person and around the world.”
On cue, Colbert joked,
“Melissa McCarthy everybody, give it up”
The viewers on Twitter were quick to pull Spicer up on making fun of himself:
