If like me and spent a fair chunk of your month binging on Netflix thriller The Sinner, you’ll be begging for more eps.

Well, we have good(ish) news. Its star and executive producer Jessica Biel has confirmed that writers are currently working on new episodes. Hell yeah!

The breakout series followed Biel’s character, Cora as she was accused of murder and delved into her dark past, which was jam-packed full of twist and turns. It was the kind of viewing that would send each viewer into a panicked sweat. It was torture but I couldn’t look away.

Biel told Entertainment Weekly that while they’re waiting to hear back from Netflix about the show’s renewal, given the series’ success they are already working on new material.

“Initially, the show was genuinely conceived as a limited series so it was a surprise to us as well that, with the amazing viewership and the incredible journey that this show has taken, it was even a possibility to come back,” she said.

“But now that it is a possibility, we are really diving deeply with our creative team, our writers’ room.”

Biel went on to say she wasn’t sure which direction the series would take in the second season, or even if her character Cora would return.

“We’re hoping to set it up and see if we can come up with some amazing and interesting stories,” she said.

“If we get to come back, we’re starting fresh again. I will definitely be involved in some way!

“I hope somebody writes me into the show, if we can figure it out.”

Considering the buzz surrounding the series this year and that the show just scored two Golden Globes noms, they’d be crazy not to green light more episodes. Yaas!
