Shania Twain has, once again, proven she’s a legendary icon, this time for her astounding Netflix documentary, Shania Twain: Not Just A Girl, and we are forever grateful for her existence.

If you don’t know the go, Shania is a Canadian-born singer who took the world by storm in the late-90s for her iconic songs like ‘You’re Still The One’, ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ and, of course, my personal fave, ‘Man! I Feel Like A Woman’.

Tracks like these solidified Shania as the Queen of Country Pop.

Throughout the Netflix doco, Shania gets extremely candid about a variety of issues that have impacted herself and her career. Some of the tougher topics included the tragic passing of her parents and her complicated divorce with producer, Robert John Lange. She also reflected on sexism in the music industry and how her body image was affected from being under the public eye.

But alongside the lowest points of her life, Shania also shared pinnacle moments in her career: her international tours, her three consecutive diamond albums, and her overall success in country pop! Throughout the doco, we see a variety of interviews from legends like Lionel Richie and Avril Lavigne, who chat about Shania’s star power and how she changed the game.

To go along with the release of this doco, Shania also dropped an album, Not Just A Girl (The Highlights), which features banger after banger by the legend herself!

Shania Twain: Not Just A Girl is streaming now on Netflix. Let’s go girls!
