Shoppers Evacuated From Westfield Bondi Junction After The Roof Collapses
What a day. Following the radical news that one of the biggest superstorms in recent history was holidaying in Sydney today, social media has been in overdrive, reporting the chaos across every inch of the city.
The rain and wind has proven too much for Westfield at Bondi junction with a partial roof collapse. The section of the roof that came down was in front of Zara where glass panels are suspended above shoppers. Due to the rain and wind, it’s believed people were sectioned from entering the area and nobody was hurt in the incident.
Punters heard a loud crash as the section came plummeting down. This was followed by loud sirens as the precinct was evacuated, scaring the shit out of patrons and sending them in to fight for themselves in storm. Nice.
We’re covering all the action from the #SydneyStorms here.
