If you think that our nation is home of the true blue and fair dinkum’, think again. Turns out Aussie blokes are a pack of liars, well, about one thing specifically.

A new study has compared countries based on which men exaggerate the size of their penises. This has been, err unzipped by asking men, ‘what is the size of their penis?’, while asking women, ‘what was the size of the penis of the last man you had sex with?’. Then comparing the two, and checking out the difference.

The research found that Australian men lie about the size of their junk more than any other nation. From a total survey size of 1,715 people, 953 males and 762 females, the study found that women are claiming an average size of 5.85 inches and the men are suggesting 7.09 inches – which makes for an exaggeration of 17.5 percent.

Here’s a handy info-graphic comparing the findings between countries:

Globally, 5.6 percent of men are exaggerating, so Australia is waaaay above average, rating at almost triple the norm. The next nation down for us that are lying about dick-size are the United States at 8.3 percent and the United Kingdom at 3.6 percent.

While our pals up at Canada and India are the most modest. One of the main findings was that a man with a penis length of 8 inches or more, generally tells the truth. On the flip-side, men below 5.5 inches are more likely to exaggerate their size.

It’s important to note, however, that the research was commissioned by a website called saucydates.com, a ‘free sex dating site’ – so take with that what you will.
