HERE WE GO: There’s A New Mario Game Coming This Year And It’s Crazy Cool
The E3 Conference is throwing up game announcements left-right-and-centre and today it’s Nintendos turn to show us the goods.
The Japanese gaming giant, who have found recent success recreating their classics, have overnight announced the all new Super Mario Odyssey for their latest console the Nintendo Switch. For starters, the trailer they’ve spat up looks like Super Mario on steroids. It includes new lands, human characters, and some pretty magical Nintendo-esk scenery.
The gameplay seems to focus on Mario’s cap (now called ‘Cappy’) being flung around, enabling the Italian bloke (and therefore you) to possess the bodies of the living and inanimate objects. Yes, we agree this sounds batshit crazy, but we’re kinda down for it. Especially because it includes controlling a Mario-Fucking-T-Rex! Look at that adorable cap on that dinosaur. Too good.
The game is scheduled for release on the 27th of October later this year ~ not long now Switch fans, not long now.
