This Brave Aussie Girl Had Her Taylor Swift Dreams Come True Before She Loses Her Hearing

In case you’re living under a rock, Taylor Swift is in Australia. Yes, Taylor mother-flippin’ Swift in the land down under. It’s a big deal, alright? The international superstar is known for giving back to her fans and sharing the 1989 love while on tour.

Well, she’s done it again. Swift met up with long time NSW fan Jorja Hope over the weekend, a young Aussie ‘Swiftie’ who recently discovered she will lose her hearing.

Jorja was heartbroken with the recent news that her condition is causing progressive inner-ear hearing loss and she will soon be unable to hear her fave Taylor Swift tracks.

According to Maitland and Mercury, she has battled her whole life from growth problems, which include surgeries on her ears and five surgeries for broken bones. But according to her mum, she’s a fighter with high spirits!

“She is a fighter, no matter what happens she smiles and keeps going.”

With this news, Jorja’s twin sister (and fellow Swiftie) Chloe took the matter in to her own hands, creating a Facebook group called ‘Help Jorja Meet Taylor Swift in Sydney’, hoping to catch Swift’s attention.

A local radio station even jumped on board to get people tweeting with the (impractically long) #helpjorjameettaylorswiftsydney and the local Maitland and Mercury publication also spread the word. And, it bloody worked!

The girls received this phone call to let them know they’d be getting the chance to travel from their home in Maitland to Sydney to see the renowned songstress hit the stage at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night.

After the show, they were escorted backstage to meet the Taylor Swift and pose for photos.  They shared pictures form their magical evening to the Facebook page and were even featured on Mashable.
