‘The Amazing Race’ Is Back In A Big Way With Twists Galore And My Body Ain’t Ready
International travel has returned in a big way, which means that The Amazing Race Australia is back with teams chaotically running around the entire goddamn world and making us all extremely jealous (and tired).
On the back of last season which was filmed entirely in Australia, this year’s The Amazing Race will stretch across six separate continents, as 20 teams of two will race across Australia, Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, and North America. And this year’s season is upping the stakes: not only will the winner score $250,000, but the team will also drive away in two brand new cars, an Isuzu D-MAX and an Isuzu MU-X. Beep beep, bitches!
NRL legend and I’m A Celebrity camper Beau Ryan will return as rule master and the hostess with the mostest, guiding the teams as they navigate route markers, clues, and hectic challenges to push them out of their comfort zones.
The teams look set to be some of the wackiest characters the series has even seen.
This year’s teams will be the following:
- Church friends, Angel and Frankie, QLD
- Vegans, Bren and Anja, WA
- Engaged parents, Chelsea and Jamus, QLD
- Middle Eastern mates, Crystal and Reem, NSW
- Baristas, Flick and Gabby, VIC
- Country gals, Fliss and Tottie, NSW
- Memory makers, Heath and Toni, VIC
- Models, Jake and Holly, NSW
- Mums, Jodie and Claire, NSW
- Lawyer cousins, Kathy and Chace, NSW
- Newlywed teachers, Kelly and Georgia, QLD
- Copper couple, Lauren and Steph, WA
- Blonde buddies, Morgan and Lilli, QLD
- Hubbies, Pako and Mori, NSW
- Dad/daughter, Paul and Rachel, VIC
- School friends, Sam and Alex, SA
- Mullet men, Sam and Stu, WA
- Baru buds, Stuart and Glennon, NT
- Science siblings, Tammy and Vincent, VIC/QLD
- Aunt/niece, Tiffany and Cynthia, WA
On last year’s season, Tamworth cowboys Brendon and Jackson took home the sweet, sweet cash money. Who will reign supreme this year?
