Things don’t get more nostalgic than The Baby-Sitters Club: if you were a kid in the ’90s then there’s a very high chance you devoured the books, loved the movie, and put in numerous orders for more of the series in your primary school Scholastic book club.

The series by Ann M. Martin was hugely popular and sold over 176 million books. I still remember reading the one about Mallory when she got mono and being paranoid every time I caught a cold after that, that I also had it – but the books also taught us more valuable lessons about the importance of friendship, the struggles of growing up, and how to navigate first relationships.

Netflix has adapted the iconic series into a new show, due to premiere July 3rd, so we can finally be reunited with Kristy, Dawn, Claudia, Mary Anne, and Stacey. Alicia Silverstone will star in the show playing the mother of Kristy and honestly, I am cancelling all my plans next weekend to watch this damn thing.

Ahhh the nostalgia. Takes me back to always wishing I was a Claudia before having to sadly admit I was definitely a Mary Anne.

The 10-episode series of The Baby-Sitters Club will premiere on Netflix July 3rd.
