Pilot Jimmy Nicholson Has Chosen His Lady Love On ‘The Bachelor’ Finale
Jimmy Nicholson has chosen his forever lady love on tonight’s The Bachelor finale in the Northern Territory.
Following Brooke Cleal and Holly Kingston meeting the family and having final dates with Jimmy, at the last rose ceremony, Jimmy ultimately chose fellow Sydneysider, Holly. Shocking!
Most viewers won’t be overly surprised by Jimmy’s decision. From the very first episode, Holly was the hot favourite to win. Then week after week, Holly and Jimmy’s bond only grew stronger. There was a hiccup when a few of the other contestants said they thought Holly had been dismissive towards them in the mansion, but Jimmy eventually got past it. Since that bump in the road, Jimmy and Holly have been pretty inseparable and it’s obvious how easily they could fit into each other’s lives, both living in Sydney.
Jimmy and Brooke’s journey was far more tumultuous. They had instant chemistry but Brooke had to leave the mansion halfway through after her grandfather passed away. Viewers thought that meant the end of Jimmy and Brooke’s love story, but she made a surprise return to the show. Since coming back, Brooke revealed that she had reservations about their relationship — she worried about leaving her hometown of Melbourne and didn’t think she could date someone with a job that meant they couldn’t spend every night with her, as she was a co-dependent person in relationships.

By the time we got to tonight’s finale, Jimmy’s decision was obvious — well, obvious to everyone who wasn’t Brooke. Sadly, Brooke thought it was going to be her at the end, saying before the final scene that “I know it’s me and him at the end of this,” and even claiming, “I do think Jimmy is falling in love with me.”
This made it all the more heartbreaking when Jimmy dumped Brooke. “Whenever we spoke about the future it was always very difficult for us….we are two different people,” he told Brooke, before confirming that “it breaks my heart that we have to say goodbye.”
Brooke did not take it well. She asked why Jimmy waited to break up with her until now, dragging her to the finale. “Why here? In Alice Springs?” she said. He told her there were “too many unknowns” and that he was sorry before she walked away in tears.

On a happier note, Jimmy told Holly that “When I think of a future with you it’s exciting, it’s passionate, you make anything we do incredible and light up any room you’re in.” He then presented her with a ring (not THAT ring), before telling her, “I want you to know that I am in love with you and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.”
