Good morning Bachy fans! Big news today, because Channel 10 has unveiled the new Bachelor, airline pilot Jimmy Nicholson.
Stating that love and a fairytale ending is set firmly in his sights, the 31-year-old self-confessed romantic said when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, he had time to reflect on his life and what he hoped to achieve in the future. And that, ladies and gents, is true love.
And how does one find true love? On The Bachelor, of course.

On being the next Bachelor, Jimmy said: “I am a big believer in embracing any opportunity that presents itself, especially if it has the potential to change your life for the better.
“The journey ahead will be one of the most challenging experiences that I have ever undertaken, however I am very excited to meet someone that I could potentially spend the rest of my life with.”
Will Jimmy fly high and go in the footsteps of great Bachelors before him, Tim Robards, Sam Wood, and Matty J? Or will he crash and burn like the Honey Badger? Will I continue to make bad plane jokes for the upcoming season? Only time will tell, my friends.
There’s so premiere date yet for The Bachelor, but Channel 10 left us with the ominous, it’s “coming soon”. Time to start stocking up on the wine now.
