Good news? Tonight was just a regular episode of The Bachelor, instead of a painfully long double instalment. Bad news? Jimmy is still on it.

At least this evening’s episode served up a surprise in the form of Brooke returning to the mansion — and she’s a brand new woman. After leaving last week due to her grandfather passing, she’s back and it’s Brooke on steroids.

She has newfound confidence and determination and you know what? It’s a bit much! The scene where Jimmy gave Brooke a rose and she clapped back, “I’ll only accept that rose if you give me a big, fat kiss,” will haunt my dreams forever. I thought she was going to dislodge her whole jaw and swallow him whole, which tbh would liven up the episode.

Before Brooke crashed the party, tonight saw the women compete in a triathlon to win extra time with Jimmy. In a controversial moment, Jay gave Ash an advantage which left Jimmy confused over what she was doing on the show, if it wasn’t to spend time with him. In Jay’s defence, the last two times Jimmy has hung with her, he’s interrogated her over rumours, so maybe, just maybe… she’s sick of him? Fair enough!

Carlie scored herself a second single date, where she and Jimmy designed a fake tattoo to represent what they want out of a relationship, and by coincidence, the writers for this show also started running out of date ideas. I mean, at least they weren’t at the beach or wadding around in subarctic creek? Swings and roundabouts, baby!

Tonight’s The Bachelor retold via hilarious tweets:

Group date time! The women met Jimmy and Osher at a water park, where they competed in a Bachelor Love Triathlon. They picked up red flags on the way, prompting Osher to ask compatibility questions.

Jay dominated the challenge, but got Jimmy offside when she gives a time advantage to Ash — rather than taking it herself. In the end, Ash won the extra time and everyone was suss that Jay let her win. After a cute chat, Ash got a rose.

Carlie was chosen for a second date with Jimmy, where they designed a fake tattoo that represented what they want out of a relationship. Err, alrighty!

The cocktail party was gatecrashed by the return of Brooke and she’s got a new attitude — now giving precisely zero fucks. Jimmy gave Brooke a rose and she demanded a kiss too. Go off, sis.

The other women were reeling from her reentering the mansion, especially after Brooke revealed that she will be going on the last single date. Lily left the party in tears, and Jimmy comforted her.

At the rose ceremony, relatable queen Laura was sent home. How dare. Jimmy’s taste remains questionable.
