He’s already stolen a few hearts (guilty!) from viewers watching at home, and Konrad Bien-Stephens is proving to be a dark horse on this season’s The Bachelorette.

The 31-year-old carpenter from Victoria got Brooke Blurton’s attention from the second he sauntered up in his hi-vis gear to make a chair he dubbed the love seat. “The tradie look just gets me!” Brooke said after meeting Konrad on the first night. “He was hot, he was really hot.”

Yes, yes he is. Like, damn.

That same night, the Machine Gun Kelly lookalike got shifted by Jess Franklin when she decided to take Brooke to the love seat that Konrad had planned to christen all night. “I think everyone was in shock at the same moment. How disrespectful,” Konrad said at the time.

However, Jess simply DGAF. “I don’t think that I have any regret that I’ve stolen Konrad’s time to shine,” Jess said afterwards. “You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do, and it was sort of just… a bit of fun.” How dare!

Konrad appeared genuinely upset that Jess stole his love seat. “I’m feeling a bit hurt. It had more meaning than being a seat. It was something that we were meant to sit on and cherish, and she’s just gone and tainted that moment,” he said.

So, what do we know about Konrad other than his apparent penchant for sentimental woodwork? Not much. He doesn’t have many images on his Instagram, so all we could dig up is that he enjoys taking photos of motorbikes (!!) and recently competed in a triathlon (!!). The tea? It’s scalding!

Konrad describes himself as a loyal and honest person who will “go to the ends of the earth” for those he loves. He’s a hopeless romantic, taking inspiration from his loved-up parents, and admits to falling in love a little too easily. “Just because I get along with someone, doesn’t mean I should be in a relationship with them,” his bio reads. Konrad is now looking for the elusive One to start a family with but is “being careful not to ignore the early signs and any red flags.”

He said that he can offer his potential partner “Loyalty, honesty, love, laughs and a few headaches.” Konrad described his perfect date as “A trip to a country coastal town to find hidden spots and watch the sunset by the water, while eating tasty local treats and daydreaming about the magic of the universe.

Treats and the magic of the universe? A man after my own heart.

The Bachelorette airs Wednesday and Thursday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 10.
