Tonight’s ‘Bachelorette’ Retold Via Hilarious Tweets

At long last, we have been gifted another episode of The Bachelorette after last Thursday’s instalment was rudely delayed due to some type of sports TV show called the “World Cup”. Sounds fake but OK.

It was worth the wait just to watch Millie competing against small children and showing absolutely no mercy. As part of the group date, three kids were given the opportunity to pick teams to battle it out in a series of challenges. While Kurt made sure the kids were included and having a good time, Millie’s eye was on the goddamn prize. We’ve got to respect her hustle, but it was Kurt who was rewarded with extra time with Brooke, even nabbing a rose.

Another rose receiver on tonight’s episode was Holly, who got picked for the first second single date. Brooke took Holly to learn from a weaver how to thread “love bracelets” and it was super wholesome. Holly may as well have just been given a ticket to the grand finale. Darvid is another contender, as he was also given a rose ahead of the rose ceremony, which meant he will get the last single date before hometowns.

With two contestants leaving tonight, I’m a little confused that we have a final six heading into hometowns, which have been teased for this week’s episodes. That’s simply too many families to meet! I guess we will find out on tomorrow’s episode and until then, let’s get some lols from the night’s funniest tweets.

Tonight’s messy antics on The Bachelorette retold via very funny tweets:

Holly gets a second date with Brooke — the first contestant to receive this honour. They arrive in a forest to meet Tegan, a weaver. Holly and Brooke create “love bracelets” for each other to symbolise their personal journeys.

They snuggle up under a blanket, and discuss the logistics of a potential relationship. Holly admits she has “strong feelings” for Brooke, and she gets a kiss and a rose in return.

On the group date, the gang compete in a series of games with three kids captaining the teams. Millie gets overly competitive and leaves some of the contestants offside for forgetting she was playing against literal children. Relatable!

After debriefing with the kids, Brooke picks Kurt as MVP of the day. During some alone time, he speaks about wanting to help disadvantaged kids and they even talk about how many kids they want. Kurt is rewarded with a kiss and a rose.

At the cocktail party, the contestants try their best to impress Brooke and win the final solo date. Luca gives Brooke a model plane, Jamie-Lee reads another damn letter, and a bouquet of flowers is delivered from Darvid.

Konrad presents Brooke with a rose necklace and they talk about how many kids they want. Despite Konrad’s efforts, Darvid gets the last single date.

At the rose ceremony, Brooke sends home Luca and Will.
