Meet ‘The Bachelors’ Ladies Fighting Over The Thirsty Three

It’s about that time! The Bachelors is about to kick off for the year so that means it’s time to get to know the women fighting tooth and nail for time with our thirsty three.

Yes, three! Three men! If you don’t know what we’re talking about, keep up! But nah, a quick TL;Dr for y’all: this year, basketballer Felix Von Hofe, drummer Jed McIntosh and restaurateur Thomas Malucelli will be sharing The Bachelor title. Along with this series shakeup, the show was filmed on the Gold Coast in a brand new Bachy mansion.

And now we know the women who will be competing for the three fellas. As there’s literally almost 30 women on the new season, we’ve selected a few bios that piqued our interest.

Meet The Bachelors women fighting over our thirsty three: Jed, Thomas, and Felix.

Abigail, 26, NSW

Bachelor: Felix

Abigail describes herself as a Duracell bunny and ‘a yes woman’ who is looking for her Prince Charming. When asked why she applied for the show, the 26-year-old replied, “I hate the current age we live in where we judge potential partners on five photos. I fall in love with people’s character, so far prefer to meet someone in real life. Having been consistently unlucky in love, I decided it was time to bring in the professionals.”

Alésia, 28, NSW

Bachelor: Jed

Alésia is an adventurous vegan who loves travelling but she misses her three cats when she is away. A woman after my own heart. She offers a potential partner “Companionship, kindness, fun and support,” but cites two relationship dealbreakers: being dishonest and not genuine.

Kristen (aka KiKi), 38, QLD

Bachelor: Thomas

Kiki describes her passions as nature, equality, love and Jason Mamoa. Incredible. If she had to compare herself to a rom-com character, she sees parallels between herself and Kate Winslet in The Holiday, as she often acts like the best friend rather than the leading lady, as Iris does in the film. But things are looking up! “I’m the leading lady of my life these days,” Kiki confirmed.

Krystal, 26, QLD

Bachelor: Felix

Krystal is full of life and confidence, pledging herself to living her best life every single day. Love that for her! In her spare time, the 26-year-old can be found causing mischief, frequenting fancy restaurants, travelling, and going to festivals.

Krystal has a bold approach when she fancies someone, comparing herself to “a lion with prey, I see it, I want it, I get it.” I believe you! When asked why she’s still single, she said, “I just think I’ve enjoyed single life so much that I’m used to the lifestyle and almost fear what it’s like to be vulnerable. I’m definitely a ‘no feelings’ kinda girl as I’m scared of getting hurt, but I have to try at some point, right?”

Angela, 25, VIC

Bachelor: Jed

Angela has been waiting to find The One and doesn’t want to settle. But she does have settling down on the horizon, with plans for kids, marriage, and (rather specifically) two German shepherds.

If she had to compare her love life to a rom-com, Angela chooses Bridget Jones’ Diary. “Simply because she’s content in her career and yet seems to always allow herself to get in the way of being in a loving relationship. Over-focusing on red flags and overlooking the good signs are things I do too, Bridge!”

While I couldn’t think of two people more different than Mark Darcy and Jed, I’m sure he will like Angela a lot (I mean, who wouldn’t?)… just as she is!

Leah, 32, SA

Bachelor: Thomas

Leah is always helping others and doesn’t take herself too seriously. This South Australian isn’t interested in meeting someone on dating apps, preferring to find love the old fashioned way.

Leah has never been in love before and hopes The Bachelors is her chance to find it. “It’s been said that love finds you when you are ready, I know I am ready,” she said.  “I’m ready for someone to have a place in my heart, that no one else has ever had before… It’s time to take my chance, be honest, jump, go for it, be all in and why the hell not. I truly believe this small step in the Bachelor’s direction is going to be the biggest step of my life.”

Tash, 31, VIC

Bachelor: Jed

Tash is a hopeless romantic who believes that when she is in love everything falls into place. She is hoping to find someone to settle down with her and her two chihuahuas, Noah and Sophie.

She can offer a potential partner her cleaning and cooking skills. “Being Italian I was born with a broom in one hand and wooden spoon in the other, ha! No, I have a lot to give, I just want to make sure it’s for the right person this time round.”

If Tash looks familiar, you might have seen her pop up on another Bachy star’s Instagram. She was previously engaged to The Bachelorette runner-up, Michael Turnbull.
