We’ve Gone Rogue And Predicted How ‘The Bachelors’ Will End

The finale of The Bachelors is airing Sunday night which means our leading men will finally make the ultimate decision: who can they commit to a three-month contract with?

Given the show allegedly wrapped filming mid-last year, everyone’s been sitting on some real secrets as to who they’ve chosen as their forever love and if they’re even still with them. A lot can happen in six months!

But let’s pretend not much time has passed and remain hopeful for a love story. Haha. Ahhh…

In very Locky Gilbert areas, all our Bachy men have basically admitted in recent episodes that they’ve fallen in love with all their remaining women (minus Felix of course, he’s still googling what love means). Jed’s feelings are strong for Alesia and the other one he’s dating, and I’d wager a bet Thomas falls in love with someone every day. Good for him!

So with the finale looming, let’s have a look at who’s likely to win the hearts of the leading men, and maybe even get an engagement ring.

Here are our predictions for who will win The Bachelors:

Thomas will choose… Leah

thomas leah the bachelors

Leah was Thomas’ favourite from the get-go and it’s hard to imagine he’d pick Lauren over her. I think unfortunately his connection with Lauren is a little too late and maybe a little too uh… boring. Sorry for projecting!

Will he propose: Yes and she’ll accept.

Will they last the distance? Absolutely not. There is something Not Quite Right about this partnership. They both seem a little too desperate for love and put weird expectations on finding a soulmate, and I don’t think that’ll bode well outside of the mansion.

Felix will choose… Jessica

jessica felix the bachelors

OK, I know what you’re all thinking. Surely Felix will just do a Honey Badger and choose no one? I’m going to say no, and here’s why.

I think he is so enamoured by Jessica that he will ignore the glaring truth that she does not want to be monogamous with him. I think he realises this deep down, I don’t think he’s an idiot. But I also think he’s desperate to ‘win’ her and she’s a challenge he hasn’t quite conquered.

By picking no one, that would be too much self-growth for Felix. By picking Jessica, he can enjoy a quick affair of sorts with her before breaking up with her, citing that they want “different things”.

I’m sure Abigail is great, but we simply haven’t seen enough of her to understand why Felix would pick her. I couldn’t pick her out of a line-up at this stage. Sorry to this woman.

Will he propose: Absolutely not. The man can’t even make a cup of tea for God’s sake. He ain’t getting down on one knee.

Will they last the distance? Nope. They’ll end things straight after the finale. The breakup statement will be something along the lines of ‘they dated for a bit, the distance was too hard, and they both wanted different things.’

Jed will choose… Alesia

jed alesia the bachelors

It was pretty obvious from day one Jed was wildly into Alesia. They’ve shared romantic single dates, she’s helped him conquer some fears, and umm… he told her he’s falling in love with her. She seems like a good, warm, grounding presence in his life, and I’ll predict him dropping the L-bomb on her will be one of the more romantic moments in the finale.

Will he propose: Yes, but she’ll say no. Or he’ll propose that… she becomes his girlfriend.

Will they last the distance? For some time yes, but they won’t be together now.

Do you think we’re right or wrong? Argue amongst yourselves in the comments, I’ll be watching.

The Bachelors finale hits our TV screens Sunday January 29 at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10play.
