One of the standout contestants on this year’s The Bachelors has to be Krystal Thomas.

Vying for Felix Von Hofe’s heart, Krystal is a 26-year-old model living in Queensland and hailing from Essex in the UK, who enjoys causing mischief, hitting up fancy restaurants, and attending festivals. Same, girl.

The five words she used to describe herself in her bio are “vibrant, chaotic, confident, charismatic and cheeky.” Krystal also said that when she fancies someone, she’s like “a lion with a prey, I see it, I want it, I get it.”

This screams big Leo energy to me, but according to her Instagram, she’s technically a Libra.

As for why she’s still single? Krystal says it’s because she’s independent and has loves the singly lady lifestyle. “I think I’m single because I’m independent and most guys are intimidated by my confidence and fun. I also think it’s because I refuse to settle for anything less than I deserve.”

And she ain’t lying: her Instagram is dripping with easy confidence and gorgeous, vibrant outfits. She rocks a lot of swimsuits and activewear, and has worked on shoots with Lorna Jane and LSKD.

According to her bio, if Krystal’s life was a rom-com, it would be Eat, Pray, Love because it’s been “full of travel and wild experiences whilst trying to figure out what on earth I’m actually doing.”

It definitely seems like she knows who she is and she lives life how she wants to live it. Peep this dreamy carousel from October when she travelled to France.

So how might a girl like Krystal fare on a show like The Bachelors? She’s got the cool girl confidence down to a science, but is she ready for a proper relationship?

“I just think I’ve enjoyed single life so much that I’m used to the lifestyle and almost fear what it’s like to be vulnerable. I’m definitely a ‘no feelings’ kinda girl as I’m scared of getting hurt, but I have to try at some point, right?”

Her bio suggests that while the single life hasn’t stopped her from living life to the fullest, she might be holding back a part of herself for fear of getting hurt. And rightly so — the dating world is scary AF. Have you seen what’s out there? And even if you do find someone worth keeping around, there’s always a fear that you’re that much more vulnerable to getting hurt.

Krystal has chosen to open herself up to love on national TV. We’ve gotta hand it to a confident queen.
