Adele, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and Little Big Town are all set to perform musics night of all nights, the 2016 Grammy Awards

The ‘Hello’ hitmaker – who has received 10 Grammys over the years – will take to the stage at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre on February 15, as will Kendrick Lamar, who leads the nominations with 11 nods, The Weeknd and Little Big Town, organisers have announced.

Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow said in a statement:

This line-up of talented artists is just the beginning of what will, once again, prove to be music’s biggest night. We look forward to celebrating what’s been a wonderful year in music, honouring the best of the best and featuring never-before-seen performances.”

While Kendrick, The Weeknd and Little Big Town are all up for various awards this year, Adele hasn’t qualified because she didn’t release new music before the September 30 2015 deadline, meaning her comeback single, ‘Hello‘, and album, ‘25‘, will be eligible for the 2017 Grammys.

As well as the newly-announced performers, the evening will also include a special tribute to Lionel Richie, who is the Recording Academy’s 2016 MusiCares person of the year.

LL Cool J is again taking on presenting duties for the ceremony, having previously done so in 2013 and 2015.
