The ‘Incredibles 2’ Trailer Just Dropped & Bring On This Female-Fronted Action
Disney has finally given us a trailer for the long-awaited Incredibles 2 sequel, and it looks like this is going to be worth the 14 year wait fam.
Apparently in the Incredibles universe, time has been standing still for the last decade and a half, and we will be picking up right where we left off.
Last month Disney revealed that papa Incredible is going to be pioneering the domestic labour while Elastigirl is in the spotlight taking on the heroic adventures, and that role reversal is playing out in the trailer rather gloriously.
In the ‘Sneak Peek’ released for the Olympics, we hear Helen (AKA Elastigirl) expressing gratitude to her husband for taking care of the family life so that she could attend to business, a sentiment we are used to hearing from successful men…
“I couldn’t have done this if you hadn’t taken over so well”
And by the sounds of things, Mr. Incredible is sporting a pretty damn ‘woke-bro’ attitude and we’re loving it.
“I’ve got to succeed, so she can succeed, so we can succeed.”
Damn STRAIGHT m8. Looks like waiting 14 years to make the sequel might actually have some benefits. Get us around this movie!!!
Check it out:
Incredibles 2 is set to come out in June, so 14 years later, the wait is almost over.
The craziest thing is that Disney has been making Pirates Of The Caribbean sequels all these years (who is asking for these??) and it’s taken 14 years to get Incredibles 2 onto our screens. Absolute madness.
