If you’ve ever wanted to see a kebab, giant baby, or pavlova belting out a karaoke number, then this season of The Masked Singer is for you.

This week 12 masks performed, with two celebrities already unmasked — and they are as random as they come. First up, Volcano turned out to be Hollywood actor Vinny Jones — yep, someone actually legit famous — then on Tuesday’s night’s episode, Duster was revealed to be former MasterChef judge, George Calombaris. This was a real choice, as last time we heard from Calombaris, he was admitting to underpaying his workers millions of dollars.

Huge yikes. Were Matt Preston or Gary Mehigan busy?!

Anyway, we move on. The big question that still looms over the remaining 10 masks is: who TF are they? The judges gave their best efforts (well, except Hughesy) trying to work out the identities of the celebrities, but we have a sneaking suspicion that Pink, Chris Hemsworth and Britney Spears probably aren’t among this season’s cast.

Thankfully, Twitter users watching at home offered much more realistic (and logical) guesses and here are some of the most popular.

Pavlova

Clues: “I’m the pavlova. Crusty on the outside but tender inside. I love the kitchen, it’s my happy place. Croissants, eclairs, gateau, vol au vents! If I can make baking a competitive sport, I would. Mon Dieu!

My dream came to me when I was young. I had a real talent and I haven’t stopped since. How do I keep my gorgeous pavlova figure? Don’t ask. What I’ll say is that when push comes to shove, I manage. I spent a lot of my childhood down south in the hills. I’m Pavlova and tonight’s going to be sweet!”

Panel’s question: “We saw the WA flag, were you born there?”

Answer: “All of Australia is my playground but I have special feelings for WA’s birdlife.”

Guesses: Anna Gare, Claire Hooper, or Kate Walsh.

Mullet

Clues: “I’m Mullet, just a knockabout bloke surprised to be here! I’ve spent years by the water and I’ve had my fair share of battles. Those night vision goggles belong to the army! I like the spotlight, but I’ve had more than a few sleepless nights. My answer is to take the show on the road.

I’m not really into strict routines. I prefer to improvise. I know it’s not the way to make a big hit but beggars can’t be choosers. I’ve never really been the boss but I have been known to take your breath away. That’s official. I’m the Mullet and I reckon I’ve got this singing thing nailed.”

Panel’s question: “Are you a swimmer?”

Answer: “I don’t need to get my hair wet anymore.”

Guesses: Lleyton Hewitt or Jay Laga’aia.

Dolly

Clues: “Hello, I’m Dolly and I’m quite the young lady but underneath is a different story. Just because I am a dolly doesn’t mean I’m a toy. I’ve always aimed high, good enough is never good enough. Things have to be just so.

I don’t mind a bit of back and forth. In fact, I’m rather famous for it. Everyone expects Dolly to be a good girl. Well, I’m the type of Dolly I want to be. My dreams aren’t what they used to be. I’ve been through a change and I’m definitely off the leash. People think Dollys should be seen and not heard. Well, not this Dolly.”

Panel’s question: “Do you work in Australia much?”

Answer: “My earliest childhood dreams were to take on the entire world and beat them.”

Guesses: Em Rusciano or Vanessa Amorosi. (We’re pretty sold on the Em theory, read more about it here.)

Professor

Clues: “I’m the Professor and I want to make the world a better place. Am I opinionated? The answer must be yes but that’s not news. Knowledge is very important to me, even if it’s not the type you find at university. Our mother universe is huge, the possibilities for love are just as big, as long as we have some faith.

I’m a scientist. I don’t believe in conspiracy theories. I’m always searching for the answer for the right cues. I like to think outside the square, it makes me an outsider but that’s okay. I like to break stereotypes and go where others don’t. I am Professor, I’m going to win The Masked Singer.”

Panel’s question: “Are you single or have you found love on The Bachelor or love in Paradise?”

Answer: “I have certainly been a bachelor at times in my life but to me, love is paradise.”

Guesses: Ben Lee or Matt Agnew.

Vampire

Clues: “I am Vampire and I am eternal. I do not fear the daylight, I embraced it and it embraced me. It fed me when I most needed it. I am the child of Vampires. Who I am, runs through my blood, it always has.

But vampires age slowly. As a Vampire, I have unexpected power. I don’t wish to be unkind but do not underestimate me. Werewolves fear gold. Vampires do not. We revel in it. The heavier the better.”

Panel’s question: “Do you come from an entertainment family?”

Answer: “Although Vampires can be made, the purest vampire have it in the blood from birth.”

Guesses: Rhonda Burchmore or Gina Riley.

Kebab

Clues: “Yeah I’m the Kebab and I reckon I got the lot. I never stop. I’m at it all day, every day — there’s nothing else I ever wanted to be. I’m like the inner-city; quiet at times but a bit of hot sauce, I go off. A real wild one!

I’ll let you in on a little secret: I get kissed by strangers! It’s the tender meat that does the trick. It’s great being the kebab and working for yourself. If you’re not the type who needs other people, hey man be cool, move on bro! I’m the Kebab and I can be spectacular!”

Panel’s question: “Are you male or female?”

Answer: “Here’s what I can say about that: mostly I’m one but I have been known to be the other.”

Guesses: Jack Vidgen or Courtney Act.

Lightning

Clues: “I am Lightning and you never know where I’ll strike next. Lightning affects the airwaves and my interference got noticed young. I know how to make you notice me. I made other waves when I was young too! Solid stakes, absolutely! But I left the gold behind. Am I driven? More self-directed. Following the path of least resistance, going with the flow, not too many wrong turns — although one crash did hurt.

I’ve been richer and I’ve been poor, nine months a year without a home. Don’t underestimate a good education! Will I win The Masked Singer? Well, Lightning will always have a crack!”

Panel’s question: “Do you travel a lot because of sport?”

Answer: “Travel hasn’t always been my choice but it led to my fame.”

Guesses: Tammin Sursok, Catriona Rowntree, or Alli Simpson.

Baby

Clues: “I’m Baby and I don’t ever want to grow up! I love flowers, I’ve been around them all my life. I’m a baby, so I’m short but not short for anything in particular! Aren’t these animals perfect? Well, I don’t like perfection, it makes me go waa! waa! Am I the type to spit the dummy? I am not! That’s a nasty web you weave when you do that, and watch out for the spider’s bite.

I’ve been front and centre and I’ve been on the wings. Front and centre is better. I’m Baby and I’m going to get my way tonight.”

Panel’s question: “Are you a comedian?”

Answer: “I stand up for what I believe in and I’m known for having a good laugh.”

Guesses: Ella Hooper, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, or Charlotte Crosby.

Atlantis

Clues: “I am the great Atlantis and I am the queen of all I see. I am a goddess of water, I am fluid taking many shapes and forms, but I have been punished just for being who I am and I have been rewarded for the same reason. I am a creature of the sea, the ocean was my original home. The land holds mystery and disappointment for me.

My world is colourful, but you wouldn’t know it. It’s not just black and white. Fashions come and go but words can last forever. Life is like that. I heard the siren of Hollywood many times, but Washington only once. It was one of life’s happy accidents. I am Atlantis and I shall be your queen.”

Panel’s question: “Are you an actor?”

Answer: “As queen, I am whatever I choose to be, and I am familiar with being someone else.”

Guesses: Isla Fisher or Gina Liano (but there’s no real consensus, as most viewers were stumped with this one).

Piñata

Clues: “I’m the Piñata and this time I’m taking a big stick to the opposition. I’ve moved many, many times chasing my dreams, luckily I’m comfortable with both home and away. Piñatas don’t have claws usually. I’ve learned to be aggressive, other times I’m soft and cuddly. When I started my career I had the luck of the Irish and my luck never really left me, I bet my name on it!

Although I did back the wrong group in Melbourne. My brethren have supported me all the way, to be sure, to be sure. You’d never guess I was a scholar. Looks can be deceiving, right? You haven’t seen everything piñata has to offer, I’ve got plenty of surprises inside!”

Panel’s question: “Were you born in the UK?”

Answer: “Let me say this much, Australia has become my home away from home.”

Guesses: Jay Laga’aia or Beau Ryan.

The Masked Singer returned Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 10.
