The Masked Singer returned this week with even more confusing clues, but fans watching at home reckon that Frillneck’s identity is too obvious: it has to be Eddie Perfect.

When I saw Perfect’s name appearing on my Twitter feed last week as Frillneck performed, at first I didn’t believe it. But then I listened to his voice, and if that ain’t Mick Holland from Offspring, I don’t know anything in this world.

And it’s not just his voice, Frillneck’s clues are all falling into place.

Here is the latest clue from last night’s episode of The Masked Singer:

The clip includes Frillneck playing chess with beetles, a glass of juice (Beetlejuice?!) and a can of cola while talking about tricks that “don’t always pay off.” Perfect wrote the music and lyrics for Beetlejuice on Broadway but the musical was panned by critics and one of his first musical comedy shows was titled Drink Pepsi, Bitch! which helped launch his career.

Then we see a protest and the camera zooms in on a sign that reads “I Love Tony” which is a nod to Perfect’s aspirations to win a Tony Award after being nominated for Beetlejuice in 2019 but not winning. At the end of the clip, Frillneck quips, “I don’t care what Miley Cyrus says,” which is probably referencing the pop singer’s song ‘Nobody’s Perfect’. Get it???

The clues all fit perfectly and people on Twitter reckon this one is a little too easy.

Viewers are convinced Frillneck has to be Eddie Perfect:

It simply has to be Eddie.
