‘The Masked Singer’ Is Back With 12 New Masks But No Lindsay Lohan
It honestly feels like The Masked Singer aired a lifetime ago and tbh, I’m still not over last season’s finale. #JusticeForMillsy.
The first season of the Korean-inspired reality singing show was a surprise phenomenon in Australia, culminating in Cody Simpson (aka The Robot) being crowned the winner. Last year we met judges Jackie O, Dannii Minogue and Dave Hughes, who will all be returning this year on the panel. But in news that has saddened me deep down in my soul, Lindsay Lohan will not be back as a judge in light of COVID-19 travel restrictions.
“Due to the current international travel complications Lindsay Lohan will not be a panellist on The Masked Singer this season,” Channel 10 said. “While we are disappointed that Lindsay can’t join us, we are lucky enough to have a sensational new panelist on the desk for this season.”
But will this “new panelist” nonsensically guess La Toya Jackson for every performance?! I doubt it. In better news, along with the 12 new celebrities that will make their debut this year, a series teaser has announced the 12 new masks and here they are:
- The Dragonfly
- The Hammerhead
- The Kitten
- The Wizard
- The Frillneck
- The Sloth
- The Cactus
- The Goldfish
- The BushRanger
- The Queen
- The Puppet
- The Echidna
I actually can’t wait to see who they make dress as The Cactus. What a stitch-up. The new series is due to premiere “soon”.
