While there were plenty of unhappy punters after yesterday’s Melbourne Cup upset, no one was left feeling more sour than this Perth woman.

Chantelle (somehow) managed to pick Prince Of Penzance with 101-1 odds and was rightfully feeling pretty pumped about it crossing the line first. She posted the following photo to Facebook boasting to friends.

Little did Chantelle know, the photo of the barcode was visible and could be used at a machine to claim the cash.  One of her opportunistic ‘friends’ on Facebook knew about this and spotted the chance to do just that, taking it to the TAB and cashing in on Chantelle’s luck before she arrived.

Chantelle told Triple M that police were able to track where the money was claimed and are confident of finding the person responsible.

According to Triple M, Chantelle took to Facebook to post the following:

“To the low life who is obviously my friend on Facebook and used my photo to claim our winnings. You’re a massive dick. You ruined my day”
