This Picture Of An Egg Has Overtaken Kylie Jenner As The Most Liked Instagram Post Ever
In my absolute favourite story of 2019 so far, a picture of an egg has surpassed Kylie Jenner as the most liked post on Instagram.
The egg was against some tough competition. It would take one hell of a photo to beat the first pic of Jenner’s newborn baby girl Stormi, which currently sits at over 18 million likes.
Enter: this egg.
As the only pic on the Instagram account @world_record_egg, the page wrote:
“Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this.”
At the time I’m writing this, the egg currently has over 18 million likes, overtaking Jenner but only slightly. Are we even surprised? Sure, Kylizzle’s post contains a cute baby hand BUT why is that hand not holding an egg?
Since the egg’s explosion in popularity, other rather strange accounts have popped up, including this chicken laying an egg. This is giving a whole new meaning to ‘who came first, the chicken or the egg?’.
Either way, Kylie, this egg is coming for your crown and I’m not even yolking. (Sorry.)
