These days most stoners can order home delivered munchies from the comfort of the couch using an app – and thanks to technology, excuses to leave the house will gradually become all together obsolete.  In the coming years, a San Fransisco startup called Trees Delivery has ‘high’ ambitions to make things easier for those Mary Jane. They know their market.

The company, who brand themselves as “the original craft cannabis box”, want to use Drones to deliver medical marijuana prescriptions, who are in need of their daily dose of the devil’s lettuce.

“We see drones as an amazing tool for delivery. A drone will never be late,” CEO Marshall Hayner told Mashable.

While there are mixed reviews of the company’s innovation, they’re going to have a tough time trying to convince the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), NASA and Verizon to test out and approve the program.

The ambitious idea has been thoroughly planned out by the company and will be ready to roll, whenever they get approval…however long that may take.

“We have a fleet of three drones that have mechanical arms”

“We tested them, we’re ready, the only thing that holds us back is the FAA.”

Although Trees Delivery is currently only delivering in San Francisco, the company has plans to expand to other pot-friendly cities, including Los Angeles and Denver.

Whether or not these budding entrepreneurs will ever bring their pipedream Down Under is still unsure. Aussie pot heads may have to wait a while still.
