Everyone’s Fallen In Love With This Prize-Winning Bulldog Named Thor

Please can we all take a moment now, on this sunny Friday afternoon, to be grateful for the existence of this dog: Thor, the prize-winning Bulldog.

Thor won Best in Show at America’s annual National Dog Show in Philadelphia, which screened on US television overnight. It’s an 18-year tradition in the US to catch the show straight after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, with more than 20 million people watching every year.

The dog, whose full name is GCHG Diamond Gold Majesu Pisko Bulls, beat out 2000 other doggos from over 193 different breeds, including a new breed, a Azawakh, from Africa, to the title, so CNN reports.

The chonky boy’s unlikely win, after first taking out the Non-Sporting group, has set social media alight, because we’re all just here, grasping towards the weekend. Show us pictures of dogs and we will make it!!!

After the event earlier this month, Eduardo Paris, Thor’s handler, gushed: “I love this dog.” Same. “He’s a very complete dog… He moves like a dream.”

He won, thanks to his “outstanding overall attitude and presence”, against a Havanese, a Siberian Husky, a Golden Retriever, a Pharaoh Hound, an Old English Sheepdog, and a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.

So let’s spend a moment loving our new friend Thor silly, shall we?

Dog Talk Sports Network, a Twitter account which should be a real TV network (pls!), tracked the entire day, sharing images of many of the day’s competitors. There is no such thing as too much dog content.

Some people have even shared shots of their own precious Bulldog pals, celebrating their kinsman’s victory.

But a Bulldog’s win has not gotten in the way of other canines appreciating today, this blessed day when they presumably get little pieces of turkey snuck to them from the table.

Bless you, Thor, you perfect pooch.
