We Tried That Viral TikTok Wrap Hack & Made A Low-Key Genius KFC Creation
Every now and then, a cooking hack will come along that will make you question everything you’ve ever known and the TikTok wrap hack taking over the internet right now has done just that.
The hack involves dividing a tortilla wrap into four quarters and after cutting into the centre of the wrap, folding each quadrant over the other. Once you have your neat little folded triangle, you slide that bad boy into a sandwich press to grill and you’ve got the perfect snack.
The invention exploded in popularity when TikTok’s @EllCarter1 posted a clip of her assembling the wrap with bacon, eggs and cheese.

While the original version didn’t use a sandwich press, this later became the preferred technique. It’s a very adaptable concept, here’s a classic lunch wrap done differently:

If you have more of a sweet tooth, there’s a dessert version that involves a pancake and it’s all my favourite things combined:

Absolute game-changer. We had to try our own version and I just so happened to be craving KFC today (like, well everyday), so decided to try to make the ultimate KFC creation: a cheesy KFC sandwich.
We attempted the TikTok wrap hack with your fave KFC items:
I started with some fresh Mission Wraps, KFC chips, nuggets, potato and gravy, along with BBQ sauce.
Then I applied each of the ingredients in different corners of the wrap. I started with the nugs which I added to a base of BBQ sauce.
Then I did a corner of cheese, because…everything tastes better with cheese. Also, I thought it would help hold the wrap together.
Next up, I added some of KFC’s iconic chips.
Finally, I generously spooned a layer of potato and gravy across the last corner.
Now this next step has to be executed delicately. My first mistake was that I should have cut the tortilla before adding the ingredients, but oh well. After slicing across halfway into the wrap, you fold each corner into the other. This was a bit tricky with the nuggets, as they kept tumbling all over the place. You will need both hands to keep everything inside the wrap.
By the end, you should have a neat little parcel.
Then it’s time to grill bby! It cooked super fast, as all I needed was for the wrap to become toasted and for the cheese to melt. I left it for about three minutes and viola! KFC wrap with oozy cheese!
It was seriously good. All the flavours worked together and I suggest dipping the whole thing into a tub of potato and gravy just for even more satisfaction.
This TikTok wrap hack is genius and the possibilities are endless.
