TRUMP GIRLS BREAK THE INTERNET: Babes For Trump Is A Thing & It’s Just As Seedy As It Sounds
Over the past week, a strange beast has emerged from the Donald Trump presidential campaign- a beast boasting good looks and not wearing much.
The ‘Babes for Trump’ are making their presence known, with #TrumpGirlsBreakTheInternet trending during the week.
The idea for the hashtag seems to have originated from rapper Baked Alaska after he posted the below image. Subtle, huh?

Since the first tweet, the hashtag has gone viral, trending in the United States and abroad. To Trump’s delight, the resulting images are not entirely PG +13.

I have nothing against women being proud of their bodies and showing as much boob as their heart’s desire. I’m 100 percent behind the #FreeTheNipple moment. However, there’s something perversely seedy about the #TrumpGirlsBreakTheInternet trend.
It places a woman’s perceived attractiveness or ‘babe status‘ as their most important characteristic, above say, their opinions on Trump’s policies, their background, career or intellect.
It also doesn’t help that the man in question – Donald Trump – is known for his sexist statements on woman and the value of their looks. You know, saying stuff like:
“I think the only difference between me and the other candidates is that I’m more honest and my women are more beautiful.”
That’s what counts, right?
Eeeck! The hashtag was boosted by the ‘Babes For Trump’ Twitter account, that publishes even seedier images of women posting their support, along with hashtag #BabesForTrump. The images can get pretty raunchy!

The majority of Twitter, and clearly Democrat supporters, weren’t thrilled with #TrumpGirlsBreakTheInternet trending – so they jumped on the hashtag, offering their own version of ‘Trump girls’. Ouch!
