Bernard Tomic has a reputation within the tennis world for bad behaviour… and for quitting. Now it looks like he might be carrying that habit over into his all-too-brief stint on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.

Tomic has a track record for calling it quits early on in the game for one reason or another, so I guess it’s not a shock to hear that he’s feeling done with the jungle after just two days on I’m A Celeb.

After parachuting into the middle of the jungle to join the ‘celebrity’ team, Tomic had to face some rough challenges (involving multiple snake bites) as well as his fellow contestants grilling him on his tennis career. It’s been an intense few days for Bernie tbh.

Then Tomic was nominated for the ‘Bridge Too Far’ challenge after admitting he was afraid of heights (cold play from Anthony Mundine), and found himself suspended over a cliff while wearing goggles that made everything appear upside down. Sounds like a good time hey?

The upside down cliff dangling was a bit much for Tomic who was a sick and sweaty mess, saying he felt like he was going to vomit. He quit the challenge and became the first of the contestants to shout the words “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here.”

It seemed like Tomic had for sure made his mind up about his decision to get the fuck outta there:

“I just wasn’t expecting all of this, you know. I am just not coping well. This is not the real world,” Tomic said.

“This is the jungle. This is so different. Not what I expected. I don’t think I can do it. I think it is best if I go.” he continued, “There is no point in me being here anymore and wasting unnecessary time for myself.”

The other contestants tried to rally Tomic to stay and convinced him to sleep on his decision, so we’ll find out soon if he’s officially leaving the game after two days or if he’s going to stick around a little longer.
