All The Evidence That *This* Is Taylor Swift’s New Boyfriend

When Taylor Swift is set to release a studio album, she drops hints, leaves Easter Eggs rolling around the place and plays tricks with her fans to keep them on their toes.

When Taylor Swift is actually dating someone new, she does the polar opposite. 

She’s obvious. She’s upfront. And she transforms into a fangirl herself. Lest we forget that time she told Matty Healy “This is for you, I love you”, quoting one of his 1975 quotes on stage while they were briefly dating? This is exactly the vibe I clocked when these photos trickled through of Taylor Swift supporting her new boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during his football game.

When did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce meet?

Despite his best efforts, it took Travis a while to properly meet Taylor. He was spotted at her Eras tour show back in July, which people took notice of because usually, giant professional American footballers aren’t the core demographic of Swifties.

Travis Kelce actually spoke about his attendance on the podcast he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce, called New Heights, sharing that he had his fingers crossed he would get to meet her there. 

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he said on the podcast. “So, I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”

… Swifties will know this already, but if you’re out of the loop, Taylor Swift has inspired a whole host of fans to get beading – designing bracelets with her song titles on them. They’re pretty cute, and you can bet I am in the middle of building my own ‘Cruel Summer’ variant. 

But Travis Kelce took things one step further, beading his own phone number onto a bracelet to give to her. 

“I received a bunch of them being there but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” and excuse me but this would have been the sweetest meet-cute of all time. However, Travis didn’t get the chance to make his move. “She doesn’t meet anybody – or at least she didn’t want to meet me,” he shared. “So, I took it personal.”

However, the news obviously got to Taylor (or at least to her team), because the two are clearly in cahoots now. At least if the photos of her sitting in a box of one of his football games next to his MUM is anything to go by…

Taylor Swift is wearing his football team shirt (Kansas City) and cheering like she’s having as good a time as she had at the MTV Video Music Awards last week, all while chatting and hugging Travis’ mum, Donna Kelce. 

And just in case someone in the crowd hadn’t put two-and-two together, Page Six reports that the commentator for the game said this after Travis scored a goal? Try? Touchdown? A Super Bowl? (I don’t understand American Football.)

“Kelce finds a blank space for the score.”

Who has made a statement about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship?

While there have been no kissing photos or notes app Instagram announcements as of yet, a few journos have hounded Travis’ brother to try and confirm the relationship.

“It’s hard to answer because I don’t really know a lot about Travis’ love life,” Jason Kelce told 94WIP Morning Show, according to FOX 4.

“I try to keep his business kind of his business, stay out of that world. But having said that, I think he’s doing great and I think it’s all 100% true,” he said, before laughing the statement off and saying he was just kidding around.

And while that’s not confirmation per se, I know that Taylor Swift attending his football game alongside his mum and wearing his kit is confirmation enough. Why am I so sure? That’s easy – because you just need to ask yourself one question: have you ever seen Taylor Swift at any football game before? Narp. Plus she knows that she would have been photographed like mad there, so if she didn’t want us (the wider public/her future besties) to see her there, then she would have been sneaky about it, circa her entire relationship with Joe Alwyn. 

But there’s zero sneak here. Just full-frontal, absolutely adorable couple confirmation.
