Kate Hudson is reportedly planning to turn to music and views Lady Gaga as her main inspiration.

The Hollywood actress is said to be trying her hand at a singing career and has set her sights on following in the footsteps of ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker by singing and playing the piano at the same time.

A source said:

“Kate’s got a decent voice. She’s ready to put her acting career to the side to transform herself into a musical artist.

“Kate wants to sing and play the piano like Lady Gaga.”

The 36-year-old star is said to have teamed up with one of her DJ friends to work on some music together.

The source added to National Enquirer magazine:

“They’ve been working together on writing music.”

Kate is no stranger to musicians after getting engaged to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy – with whom she has four-year-old son Bingham – in 2011, but the couple split in 2014.

What’s more, the blonde beauty – who also has son Ryder, 12, with Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson – was recently romantically linked to singer Nick Jonas. Running theme much?

She has also turned her hand to singing before, starring as dance teacher Cassandra July in musical comedy-drama TV series ‘Glee’, in which she had to sing her own stuff.

Speaking about her appearance on the show, Kate previously said:

“I had nerves, but I was more excited [because] it’s like being a little kid again.

“Doing all three – singing and dancing and acting, and I love it. I just love it.”
