Netflix’s Sex Education is one of the most relatable series to come along in a long time.

If, like me, you binged the entire series within one day, you’ll be feeling desperate for something new to watch. Thankfully, there are heaps of equally addictive British shows on Netflix and Stan, ready for bingeing.

So, if you’re about to enter a cesspit of despair, here are five more bingeable TV shows about awkward British teens that are worth your time.

1. Skins

This is the series that defined realistic representation of teens on TV. The show and its characters are iconic to say the least. Following a group of friends as they weave through the minefields of sex, drugs and high school, with every two seasons the cast changing so it never gets boring.

Watch on Netflix.

2. Misfits

Skins and Misfits go hand in hand as penultimate British TV at its best. Misfits diverts slightly as rather than set in high school, the series has a group of teen delinquents working off their community service together. Oh, and they have super powers. It’s neato.

Watch on Netflix & Stan.

3. My Mad Fat Diary

This series is so perfect, life-affirming and wonderful, with characters who are truly relatable. Like Sex Education, the show isn’t afraid to take on tough topics like body image and mental health, plus it has an awesome soundtrack.

Watch on Stan.

4. Fresh Meat

This show is seriously underrated. Think of it as the older sister/brother to shows like Skins and Misfits. Set at university, the series follows a group of students trying to navigate adulthood while living together off-campus. It’s messy, sometimes filthy and just so damn funny.

Watch on Netflix.

5. The Inbetweeners

This show in its time was nothing short of a phenomenon, even inspiring two movie sequels. The premise is basic: four childhood friends that are far from popular try to have sex with anyone that’ll have ’em. Be warned this series hasn’t dated particularly well. You’ll likely laugh along with Will but cringe at everything Jay has to say.

Watch on Netflix & Stan.

Happy bingeing fam!
