Buy a boat and borrow a sea captain. We’re all moving to Tasmania right this minute, after learning that the police down under in Tassie appear to be taking home drunken party-goers and tucking them into bed. This actually sounds like the dream.

Well, at least this was the case for Reece, your typical bloke that woke up Sunday morn with a hazy recollection of the previous night’s events. Only to find on his smartphone, that two Tasmanian police officers had taken a cheeky selfie, after tucking him into bed after a night out.

A FB friend of Reece uploaded a screen capture to Reddit on Monday, which read:

“So was just looking through my phone and turns out these good c—s took some banger selfies after they took my drunk ass home. Bloody legends,” Reece wrote, alongside this epic selfie reposted by the Tasmanian Police:

The Tassie police were quick to say that this wasn’t typical protocol, but added, “However police are always looking for a place of safety for anyone who is affected by alcohol,” Senior Sergeant Craig Fox told 9 News.

“On this occasion, police were contacted by a taxi company for assistance in getting the man home. When police arrived, they found out his address, took the man home and waited for a friend to arrive to look after him.

“Because he was a bit worse for wear, our officers took the opportunity to record the moment with a selfie in the likely event he could not remember how he got home.”

What absolute legends, and expectantly Reece’s story is quickly going viral. Reece and the two police officers were reunited on Sunrise this morn, as the cops a.k.a heroes told the program about their Saturday night rescue mission.
