We’ve partnered with the crew at Lenovo to go behind the scenes at VAMFF 2016 and interview Australia’s most prolific fashion identities.

Melbourne based Jacqui Demkiw is not afraid of our fair city’s penchant for black on black, a trend (or rather, a staple) she has embraced in designing White Suede’s Autumn Winter 2016 collection.

Using texture play as a way of breaking up the monochrome madness, the new season brings with it leather and lace as an alternative to colour blocking- “texture blocking,” as it has become affectionately known.

Ahead of White Suede’s showing at Fashion Week, our host Jasmin Howell chats to Jacqui about the upcoming season, embracing a 70’s inspired silhouette and why interesting textures could be the antidote to a seemingly simple ensemble.
