These Venomous Snakes Are Throwing Down In A Backyard Because Australia Ammirite?

This battle went down in a backyard in regional Victoria. In the red corner, we have a brown snake (the world’s 2nd most deadly snake) and in the blue corner, a tiger snake (the world’s 6th most deadly).

The clip was captured on video by Liz Williams who watched on as the brown snake coiled itself around its opponent until it eventually conquered and ate its prey (since when do snakes eat other snakes???). It’s just about the most ‘Strayan wildlife scene you could imagine finding in the backyard.

The clip below isn’t for the faint-hearted. There’s a lot of rolling around and struggling before the brown snake gets his fangs into the tiger snake’s head and the rest is some damn gruesome cannibalism. It’s absolutely fucked but ey – it’s hard to look away.

Also, according to a snake catcher who was called to the scene said the brown snake “regurgitated” some of its meal, the Riverine reported, so that’s gross. Just another day down under ammirite!
