WATCH: A Britney Spears Biopic Is Coming And Now We Have The Trailer
That’s right – it’s Britney Bitch!
US network Lifetime have this morning released the first taste of their biopic documenting one of the most famous pop-stars of the nineties and naughties. The film ‘Britney Ever After‘ will document Spears’ rise to stardom and the events which lead to her mental breakdown in 2007.
The film, which debuts on Feb 18, looks like total guilty pleasure trash – and we mean that in the best possible way. The thought of indulging ourselves in this is a beautiful thing.
The trailer introduces us to Natasha Bassett playing Spears and flashes scenes which involve the superstars infamous head shaving episode and marriage to Kevin Federline which lasted three years. And although they don’t cop a mention in the first teaser, we know Jillian Walchuck will play Paris Hilton and Nathan Keyes as Justin Timberlake. GIMME MORE!
You know her name, but do you know her story? #BritneyEverAfter premieres, February 18th at 8/7c. pic.twitter.com/IADZsZe9x2

Sadly, ‘Britney Ever After’ does not have the singer’s blessing and is therefore copping its fair share of criticism online. Fans are pretty devo that Lifetime are opening up old wounds without the entertainers permission for their own gain.
Online fans are posting comments urging Lifetime to pull the biopic – while others are tweeting the words ‘keep it’.
Here’s a taste of how it’s being received (hint: opinions are very mixed):
Tragic trailer. No Britney blessing. Bringing back what Britney is running away from to everyone's eyes. Hope this flops hard https://t.co/ZhL5HPsJNN

@lifetimetv bringing up a past that I am sure she wants to leave behind is not a nice way to make some cash. This, to me, is disrespectful
