WATCH: The First ‘American Horror Story’ S7 Teaser Just Leaked & Holy Hell

As we eagerly await the title for the upcoming season of American Horror Story, a teaser for season seven has leaked and it’s freaky AF.

Posted by the verified Twitter account for FX Latin America – and later deleted – the clip has given us some interesting clues for what to expect.

What we know so far from the deets creator Ryan Murphy has spilled, is that the series will be set in modern day and begin on the night of the latest US presidential election.

In the 12 second teaser we initially see balloons. Lots of balloons. But this ain’t some childish birthday party. That’s been done before on AHS in Freakshow. I’m thinking they’re the kind of balloons common at election rallies.

The teaser closes with some icky smiley clown-masked figure appearing and leering towards the camera. It’s the stuff of nightmares. But it’s important to note he’s wearing a suit. Maybe, he’s a politician? Maybe, this is just wild speculation? Maybe.

What we do know is that the title for the new series is due to be announced this week and season seven will return to our TV screens on September 29, 2017. The fear is real.
