Hamish and Andy, joined by a busload of 70 ravenous barbarians from across Australia, dropped in on a Parramatta Hungry Jacks to completely ‘DeNug’ the store. The simple aim was to take the store by surprise and devour every single chicken nugget available, thus the #NugRaid

For two hours, the group challenged two unsuspecting attendees with a $3,000 ‘nug’ bill, equating in 4,600 nuggets. When all were eaten, the #NugRaid was officially declared a success. News.com.au spoke with Hamish Blake after the raid, who said, “We didn’t start the war, fast food chains started the war.”

Blake went further to clarify the obvious premise for the challenge:

We noticed that Macca’s and KFC and a lot of places were coming out with deals like $9.25 for 20 nugs. And then Hungry Jacks enters, I think they were charging a ludicrous $5.90 for 20 nuggets at one stage.

“We thought, the world’s gone mad, they’re offering nuggets so cheap. When people talk about the iron ore crash, what about the nugget crash?

This past week, the duo went searching for people to join them on the challenge. Some even made entry videos to apply for the challenge. That includes this dude, who scoffed off 100 chicken nuggets in under five minutes.
