WATCH: ‘Honest Trailers’ Takes Aim At 90’s Classic ‘Space Jam’ & How Dare They
Nothing is sacred anymore, as YouTube program ‘Honest Trailers’ have torn shreds off the 21st century’s greatest story ever to be committed to film: Space Jam.
As 90’s kids will all know: Space Jam is pretty much the greatest thing ever. It managed to seamlessly combine animation and real life, Bugs Bunny and basketball player. Everyone can agree that it was the highlight of Micheal Jordan’s career and the film made all our wildest dreams come true.
But ‘Honest Trailers’ have wholly disrespected this piece of sacred art. They have obliterated Space Jam, and made a trailer highlighting all its “flaws” – as if there are any.
“Based on a sneaker commercial comes a film that got the rights to Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes and then said, ‘Screw it, that’s all the work we’re going to put into this one,'” as the voice-over says.
