Kanye West’s fame is only superseded by his larger than life ego and distortion of his own abilities as a human being self proclaimed ‘God’. So it’s a rarity to see a refreshing glimpse of his humble side, even if he is just pretending.

For some reason, which is still a mystery to all, Kanye decided to stroll his way on to the set of the American Idol auditions in 2015 to try his luck at impressing the judges. In this twisted, alternative reality of a clip Yeezy struts on to the stage for Keith Urban, J-Low and Harry Connick Jr and introduces himself as a regular Joe with big ambitions.
It’s a side we haven’t seen of Yeezy before, simply because it’s a totally bizarre yet entertaining act. That being said, it is nice for a second to think that Kanye doesn’t think of himself as the ‘biggest rockstar on the planet’ – even if he does.
With wife Kim Kardashian off to the side supporting her hub, Kanye explains:
“I’m originally a producer. I always wanted to rap and no one really believed in me, so I wanted to try some things out, ya know?”
Spitting out some versus of ‘Gold Digger’ Kanye walks away with a ticket to Hollywood to stay in the competition. Chances are he’ll be too busy to attend, ya know, with that whole fashion label, fast food chains opening – oh and that running for president thing. Keep doing you, Kanye.
