Kesha has dropped her new track ‘Praying’ and it’s a heartfelt look at the pain and suffering she went through after alleged sexual assault and abuse by her former producer Dr Luke.

The dark new single is from Kesha’s first album in five years called ‘Rainbow’ which comes our way on August 11. This a massive relief to all her fans after initial doubt she would be prevented from releasing new music due to a midfield of contractual issues tied up around her deals with her label, Kemosabe Records.

The label was founded by her alleged abuser along with Sony Music and this new album is released and distributed through them. However there’s no holding back on this brave new song as Kesha rises through the pain and claims back her throne at the top of the charts. Hopefully we’ll be hearing a lot more from her in the coming weeks!

In the heart wrenching video clip, Kesha lies in a coffin as she describes how her life was ripped apart with heavy lyrics like:

“If I am alive. Why? Why?
“If there is a God or whatever, something, somewhere, why have I been abandoned by everyone and everything I’ve ever known, I’ve ever loved? Stranded.

“What is the lesson? What is the point? God give me a sign or I’ve got to give up.
“I can’t do this anymore. Please just let me die. Being alive hurts too much.

Prepare for the truth bombs on Rainbow. Go Kesha!
