As British documentary-maker Louis Theroux makes his way around Australia (for the first time, yay!) for his speaking tour, he unintentionally stepped back into his role of duty.

Theroux’s plan has been to get around incognito, while in Perth. But not for long, as he was spotted by ABC News intern journalist Stephanie Garnaut last Wednesday afternoon, as she was interviewing people in the busy streets about the recent national census.

When Garnaut approached Theroux, he very quickly turned the mic onto the young journalist. Instead, he tested her skills under pressure, quizzing the intern about himself.
