WATCH: Margot Robbie Transforms Into Tonya Harding In The First ‘I, Tonya’ Trailer
The much anticipated first teaser of Margot Robbie as disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding has just been released, and we can’t believe our eyes.
The newly titled film I, Tonya follows the story of one of the greatest scandals in competitive sporting history. For the unfamiliar (seriously, google it!) following a long-held rivalry between Harding and Nancy Kerrigan, during a competition, Nancy was attacked and had her knees badly damaged, assumed to be no longer able to compete.
Tonya was eventually found to be involved in the incident, with her ex-husband convicted of the crime. Tonya was stripped of her U.S Figure Skating membership. While she has maintained her innocence, she has been shunned by the sport ever since.
It’s a huge role for Margot to take on and if the trailer is anything to go, it’s going to be a triple axel jump for the Aussie actress.
